Vorige zomer was ze hier, samen met Khaled en Walid en Wassim. Dit jaar kunnen ze er niet uit. Maar dit is het wonder, daar in Gaza. Ze leven door. Fida heeft haar eindexamen gehaald, met negens. Voor dat meisje is het haast een verzetsdaad.

i want to tell you that evry body here misses you and we hope to see you soon in our gaza
and i wanted to share you my happiness and my successful because i did it !
i passed the most important exam in my life which its the last year in the high school exams.
i got (90,1%)and am very happy because in the exams time there was the insider fighting between fateh and hammas i really cant believ it tell now, i was! you know very scared, and the situation was really dangerous and me with thousends of the palestenian student we were go to schools to do the exams. in the same time the streets in gaza were full of danger.you know there is teo students have been killed during the fighting, one of them was my friend , but even though we passed (thanks God) and the good news i decided to study bussines administration in english language in the best university here
i dont know why ?? i feelt that i want all the world to share me my happiness so i sent you this e-mail

Felicitaties voor Fedaa!
Herinnert me aan wat Arabische-vriend-met-schotel-antenne me vertelde. Ik hoop dat het niet waar is, maar hij hoorde dat Abbas de Gaza-diploma’s ongeldig wilde verklaren, want: niet afgegeven door de Autoriteit…
Alsof er niet genoeg problemen zijn.
Fedaa, Fennie says mabrook too!
Abbas is van alles aan het proberen om zijn gezag, op een negatieve manier, nog uit te strekken over Gaza. Zo heeft hij ook al gezegd dat de paspoorten niet meer geldig zijn. Hij heeft daarbij natuurlijk alle steun van Israel die hem graag inzetten om Hamas, en het gezag in Gaza af te breken. Dat zal hem bij de bevolking, ook niet die op de Westoever, niet populairder maken.

Congratulations on your exam, 90,1%is amazing! I think it’s a great accomplishment that you managed to concentrate on your studies with al the fighting going on.
I wish you all the best at the university. I realise yor student’s years will be very different than mine were, but I hope you’ll enjoy this new phase in life nonetheless. You deserve it!

You’re going to study in the same college that I have graduated from , so I think u full of a combination of worry , anxiety , suspense , tension and expectancy . Then , I’d like to assure u that u’ll love to go to university all the time , it’s a very interesting place with some beautiful gardens and a nice small bolt .
