Dear Walid and Waseem,
Do you know the Christmas song I’m dreaming of a white Christmas? Well it doesn’t happen so often anymore that we have snow on Christmas. And to be honest: I love to look at snow because it is beautiful but it gives you cold feet when you walk outside.
But the day before yesterday I looked out of the window early in the morning and all the trees were white. Not snow but frost, the temperature was below zero. Very beautiful. But now again all of it has melted away.
I hope one day you will be in Amsterdam for Christmas and may-be then it will snow especially for you. And then we have the last day of the year, when we celebrate the change from the old year tot the new year with fireworks. I don’t know if you will like that, because it sounds like shooting and I think you have heard enough shooting for the rest of your life. This year I hope to be in Gaza for the old year-new year, Insha’Allah see you soon, and best wishes to Baba!
With lots of love,
Anja
(And thanks for the movie you gave me, it was nice!)
will its nice for Walid and Waseem and also it fits me.
Merry christmas to you and all our dutch friends starting from the first names of the list to the last names on the ongoing list.
Thanks Ramadan! I know christmas is not a festivity for muslims, so I always tell people in the Netherlands how much I appreciate it when my Palestinian friends never forget to wish us a merry christmas, even when your life is so difficult and even though usually we christians forget to wish you happy Eid!
Anja,
Fijne kerstdagen en alvast een gelukkig nieuwjaar toegewenst!
